Shopping at a local meat market gives you more control over the quality and price of meat that you’re serving your family or customers. Here’s our guide to how it works when you order a whole animal from Sunrise Farms:

Whole Processed Animals – For Home Cooks

  • Step 2: Choose Your Processing

    Order meat processed in a USDA inspected facility or from a local meat processor offering custom processing at lower prices. Custom processing orders should be picked up from that processing facility unless you pay extra to pick them up from Sunrise Farms.

  • Step 3: Contact Sunrise Farms

    Submit your request online or call us to start processing your order. We’ll provide a list of processing facilities and discuss the needed quantity and types of cuts. We will also process a deposit to reserve your slot on our processing schedule. For your convenience, you are invoiced only by Sunrise Farms. We take care of all processing costs.

  • Step 4: Schedule Pick-Up Or Delivery

    We’ll coordinate with you throughout the process to ensure a seamless experience from start to finish. When your order is ready, we’ll reach out to schedule pickup at our farm or the processing facility depending on your preference. Once we receive the hanging weight from the processor, we’ll contact you to process the remaining balance through our secure payment system.

Whole Processed Animals – For Resale

  • Step 2: Contact Sunrise Farms

    Submit your request online or call us to start processing your order. We’ll send you a cut sheet to use to give your selection of meat cuts. We’ll discuss pick up and delivery options to your restaurant, grocery store or market. We will also process a deposit to reserve your slot on our processing schedule. For your convenience, you are invoiced only by Sunrise Farms. We take care of all processing costs.

  • Step 3: Schedule Pick-Up Or Delivery

    We’ll coordinate with you throughout the process to ensure a seamless experience from start to finish. When your order is ready, we’ll reach out to schedule pickup at our farm or the processing facility depending on your preference.   • Quarter Beef: About 100 lbs of meat filling about 4 cubic feet of space.
  • Whole Beef: About 400 lbs of meat filling about 16 cubic feet of space.
  • Whole Hog: About 140 pounds of meat filling about 5-6 cubic feet of space.
  • Whole Lamb: About 35 pounds of meat filling about 1.5 cubic feet of space.
